Disabling Your Proxy Server

In order to use the COCC Campus Network comptuer's configured to use a Proxy server will need to temporarily disable their proxy.

Internet Explorer

1. In Internet Explorer select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
2. Select the "Connections" tab and click on the "LAN Settings" button.
3. In the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" dialog UNCHECK the "Use a proxy server..." option.
4. Click OK and OK again to save this proxy server change.

NOTE: If originally checked, don't forget to reenable your proxy server when returning to your normal internet service provider network.

Firefox

1. In Firefox select Options from the Tools menu.
2. In the "General" section click the "Connection Settings" button.
3. In the "Connection Settings" dialog select the "Direct connection to the Internet" option.
4. Click OK and OK again to save this proxy server change.

NOTE: If your were previously using a proxy server, don't forget to reselect your previous proxy setting when returning to your normal internet service provider network.

Mozilla

1. In Mozilla select Preferences from the Edit menu.
2. Under the "Advanced" options section select "Proxies".
3. On the "Proxies" form select the "Direct connection to the Internet" option.
4. Click OK to save this proxy server change.

NOTE: If your were previously using a proxy server, don't forget to reselect your previous proxy setting when returning to your normal internet service provider network.
