COCC Security Alerts
ITS' procedure regarding virus alerts is to post warnings and COCC protection status regarding all new category 3+ viruses. The alerts will stay active for two weeks unless the virus will become inactive sooner or there is a reason for them to stay longer. To receive COCC Security Alerts via email follow these instructions.
Updating Virus Protection
Virus protection for email coming from the internet in to COCC's email system is updated automatically as a part of our email filtering device.
Virus protection on individual workstations is updated daily for protection against email viruses that somehow find their way in to COCC as well as other types of viruses.
